Anonymous writing

Anonymous letters are more common than realised and can stem from every strata of life not only from the educated but also from the illiterate. Receiving these letters, which are often offensive, scurrilous, and spiteful, can cause untold distress, fear , and mental anguish. They are written mostly from spite, envy, jealousy, sexual frustration, scorned lovers, job dismissal, or job non-promotion discontent. In many cases they can be continuous over a period of months and years and can create much anxiety and distress.

They can also occur in political life, community organizations, or just in families where there is enormous prejudice and hatred to a certain member of the family.


IN ALL CASES THESE LETTERS ARE WRITTEN IN ORDER TO SEEK REVENGE AND DAMAGE REPUTATION!!!
There is also a more sinister side of anonymous writings, these are the extortion letters or notes (Blackmail) received, demanding vast sums of money, which threaten kidnap, or severe bodily harm or murder. These vicious letters are usually handled by the police as they have been penned by dangerous individuals.

Many of these letters are written in an attempted disguised hand often with intentional spelling mistakes and incorrect grammar to hide the standard of intellect of the writer.


The recipients of these notes, or letters (if persistent) should not ignore the situation and should look for help in identifying the culprit, so that the harassment can be ended and the problem solved.

Anonymous letters are written by individuals sometimes sent in an attempted disguised hand, or as typed letters, or cut out newspaper clippings. Whatever the motive, they are composed by an inadequate, who is unable to face up to and deal with a situation head-on. They bear out their grudge or revenge by a series of anonymous notes or letters which can be malicious, obscene and threatening!!

Many anonymous letters are just one-time occurrences and are immediately thrown away and hopefully forgotten. It is the continuous delivery of these letters that causes the distress.

IT IS INTERESTING TO NOTE THAT THE MAJORITY OF ANONYMOUS LETTERS ARE WRITTEN BY WOMEN!
